Probably one of the most annoying part about makeup is cleaning your makeup tools/ brushes. But it is so important! Excess makeup, oil, dirt, bacteria – that will all stay in your makeup tools if you don’t clean them from time to time. That can clogge your pores and also make you break out.
How often should you clean your brushes? Dermatologists recommend cleaning your brushes at least once a week. Some people with skin problems clean especially their face brushes after each use.
For the longest time I used a gentle baby hair shampoo to clean my makeup brushes and tools. I still think this is a good way to clean your makeup brushes/ tools. But now I prefer actual cleansers that are made to clean makeup brushes/tools. Whenever I used baby shampoo I always had to clean my brushes twice to really get all the dirt out of the brushes. But with an actual brush cleanser it is a lot quicker and also it really deep cleans the brushes/ makeup tools.
