My Favorite Face Brushes

Makeup brushes – something I feel like you can never have enough of! I know you don’t need that many brushes… but I just LOVE to try new brushes and new brands!

Good brushes don’t have to be expensive. Most of the ones I love and use everyday are actually more on the affordable side. Which brushes do I like? Read on to find out about my favorite face brushes.

My everyday  face makeup bushes:

Top Favorite Face Brushes: MAKEUP GEEK foundation stippling brush, MORPHE BRUSHES E20, MORPHE BRUSHES G7, REAL TECHNIQUES Contour brush, REAL TECHNIQUES 100, MORPHE BRUSHES M501, MORPHE BRUSHES Y5

I love a lot of brushes but I noticed that there are some brushes that I do reach for more often than others.

So these ones are my top favorite brushes:

  • MAKEUP GEEK foundation stippling brush (My fave foundation brush!)
  • MORPHE BRUSHES E20 (I mostly use it for concealer. Love it for cream highlight and contour, too)
  • MORPHE BRUSHES G7 (Amazing for powder)
  • REAL TECHNIQUES Contour brush (Love it for contouring)
  • REAL TECHNIQUES 100 (My favorite brush for bronzer)
  • MORPHE BRUSHES M501 (Love it for highlighting)
  • MORPHE BRUSHES Y5 (Amazing for applying blush)

Other favorite brushes/ tools:

Foundation:

MORPHE BRUSHES E6, MAKEUP GEEK Foundation Stippling Brush, SIGMA F82, TARTE The Buffer™ Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush

MORPHE BRUSHES E6, MAKEUP GEEK Foundation Stippling Brush, SIGMA F82, TARTE The Buffer™ Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush

MORPHE BRUSHES E6: Love this brush to push foundation into the skin because of its flat top. It has nice soft bristles and it’s very easy to apply foundation with. It blends product very well while still being dense enough.

MAKEUP GEEK Foundation Stippling Brush: My favorite foundation brush! Very easy to blend foundation with and the bristles are very soft! Again really nice to push foundation into the skin because it has a flat top. Also it has the perfect density to blend product well without losing coverage.

SIGMA F82: I love this brush to buff foundation in circular motion into the skin. It has the perfect density and it has nice soft bristles, too. Love it for foundations that have a thicker consistency.

TARTE the buffer™ airbrush finish bamboo foundation brush: Love to use it if I’m in a rush and want to apply my foundation quick. It is not the softest brush ever but it’s not uncomfortable to buff foundation into the skin. This brush is pretty fluffy and not super dense so you will lose a little bit of coverage. That makes this brush perfect if you want a more natural look.

Beauty Sponge:

BEAUTY BLENDER Pro Sponge

BEAUTY BLENDER Pro Sponge

BEAUTY BLENDER PRO: The best beauty sponge I’ve ever tried. But I have to say that in general I prefer brushes over beauty sponges. So I haven’t tried a whole lot of sponges so far (only the Morphe Brushes sponge, Real Techniques sponge and some drugstore sponges). I love the Beauty Blender sponge the most because it is very bouncy and doesn’t swallow that much product. Also I tried the beauty bleder in pink and I have to say that I prefer the black one! I feel like it gives more coverage and applies product more even. Also I ALWAYS wet the sponge before I use it.

Other Cream Products:

REAL TECHNIQUES Expert Face Brush, 2x MORPHE BRUSHES E20, MORPHE BRUSHES M335

REAL TECHNIQUES Expert Face Brush, 2x MORPHE BRUSHES E20, MORPHE BRUSHES M335

REAL TECHNIQUES Expert Face Brush: I tried this brush for foundation but didn’t like it that much. The bristles are just not that soft. But I really love it for applying cream contour. It is not super dense but dense enough to blend contour easily.

2x MORPHE BRUSHES E20: I love this brush so much that I had to have at least two of them. The best concealer brush I’ve tried so far! It makes applying concealer so easy. I also like it so apply cream contour and cream highlight. This brush is pretty dense and soft but fluffy enough to blend product easily.

MORPHE BRUSHES M335: I love this brush for concealer, too. It is a little smaller than the E20 so it’s really nice if I want more precision. The brush has the perfect density for applying concealer and it’s very soft.

Powder Brushes:

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (powder brush), MORPHE BRUSHES G7, MORPHE BRUSHES E1

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (Powder Brush), MORPHE BRUSHES G7, MORPHE BRUSHES E1

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (powder brush): Love this brush for applying powder. It is super soft and fluffy but has still enough density.

MORPHE BRUSHES G7: Love this brush for powder application, too. It is super soft and has the perfect size for me. This is also nice and fluffy while still having enough density.

MORPHE BRUSHES E1: This is a big powder brush. I really like it if I want to set my foundation really quickly.

Contour Brushes:

TARTE Swirl Powder Contour & Bronzer Brush, REAL TECHNIQUES Contour Brush, NYX COSMETICS Contour Brush

TARTE Swirl Powder Contour & Bronzer Brush, REAL TECHNIQUES Contour Brush, NYX COSMETICS Contour Brush

TARTE Swirl Powder Contour & Bronzer Brush: I really enjoy this brush for contouring and bronzing! It has really soft bristles. This brush is dense but still fluffy and very soft.

REAL TECHNIQUES Contour Brush: My favorite brush to contour with! I just love the size and the shape of this brush! I also like it for cream contour. It has the perfect density to apply product precisely and also blend it easily.

NYX COSMETICS Contour Brush: I really like this brush for contouring, too. Really easy to use. It has the perfect shape for my cheekbones.

Contour/ Bronzer Brushes:

MORPHE BRUSHES G5, ZOEVA 126, REAL TECHNIQUES 100

MORPHE BRUSHES G5, ZOEVA 126, REAL TECHNIQUES 100

MORPHE BRUSHES G5: This brush is perfect if I want to apply my bronzer more precisely because of its shape. I also love it for a soft contour because it blends product pretty easy and it’s not too dense.

ZOEVA 126: I love this brush for a precise bronzer application or a soft contour, too. If i’m in a rush I love to use this brush to warm up my face and sculpt it in one step. This brush is super fluffy and soft but still has enough density.

REAL TECHNIQUES 100: My favorite brush for bronzer! This brush is so soft and I love the size of it. And of course it looks beautiful!

Blush Brushes:

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (Angled Brush), MORPHE BRUSHES Y5, REAL TECHNIQUES Blush Brush

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (Angled Brush), MORPHE BRUSHES Y5, REAL TECHNIQUES Blush Brush

BH COSMETICS Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set (Angled brush): Because of the angle this brush is very nice for contouring. But I maily use it for blush. The bristles are very soft. In general I do really like the whole Bh Cosmetics Pink-A-Dot 11pc Brush Set.

MORPHE BRUSHES Y5: My favorite brush for blush. It is very soft and I think it just has the perfect size for my cheeks. I also really like this brush for powder.

REAL TECHNIQUES Blush Brush: I really enjoy this brush for blush. It is pretty big but you still have enough control with it.

Highlight Brushes:

BDELLIUM TOOLS 940, REAL TECHNIQUES Setting Brush, BH COSMETICS 11, MORPHE BRUSHES M501

BDELLIUM TOOLS 940, REAL TECHNIQUES Setting Brush, BH COSMETICS 11, MORPHE BRUSHES M501

BDELLIUM TOOLS 940: A really nice brush for highlighting. I mainly use this brush to brighten up my under eyes with banana powder.

REAL TECHNIQUES Setting Brush: I love this brush for a lot of reasons: It is amazing for banana powder (or in general for a more precise powder application). I also really love it for contouring. And it is amazing for cream products such as cream contour and highlight.

BH COMETICS 11: Love this brush for highlighting! It has really soft bristles and blends the product beautifully.

MORPHE BRUSHES M501: My favorite brush for highlighting. It is very soft and fluffy.

Favorite brush cleanser:

BEAUTY BLENDER Solid Brush BlenderCleanser

BEAUTY BLENDER Solid Brush BlenderCleanser

My favorite brush and beauty sponge cleanser is the BEAUTY BLENDER Solid BlenderCleanser!! It is so easy to use! And it cleans my beauty tools very quickly.

I need them all!!! This post is so helpful.
Is the real techniques 100 brush a dupe for the mac 135 brush that everyone and their mother loves for bronzer?

Anniquina says September 22nd, 201708.55 AM UTC

Thank you so much Anna!
Yes, I think the Real Techniques 100 brush is very similar to the MAC 135 brush. I think they perform almost identical. I actually purchased the Real Techniques one because I was searching for a cruelty free alternative for the MAC brush.
The Real Techniques 100 brush is a little less fluffy but a lot softer. And in my opinion it feels like a lot better quality.
