Do you already have any plans for Valentines day? No matter if you go out or just stay home, if you have a partner or you’re just by yourself – it’s a perfect day to have some fun with makeup.
I created a smokey eye with a fun glitter liner with some typical valentines day colors. It’s actually pretty simple so if you want to know how to do it here we go:
Products I used for this makeup:
- Eyeshadow base (PLouise base)
- Sigma warm neutrals volume 2 eyeshadow palette (Humble, Charmer, Rogue, Russet)
- La Splash art-ki-tekt slim eyeliner waterproof
- OPVBEAUTY metal and liquid glitter in Dime
- Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof
- Brushes: Zoeva 227, Morphe MB13, Makeup Geek small crease brush
Step By Step Makeup Pictorial:

STEP 1:
First I prime my eyelids with an eyeprimer/concealer (PLouise Base). I recently startet not always setting my eyeprimer/concealer anymore because eyeshadows show up a lot more pigmented this way.
Next I use the shade ‘Russet’ to pack it on my eyelid with a dense blending brush (Zoeva 227).
STEP 2:
After that I use the shade ‘Rogue’ to blend out the previous shade in the crease and a little bit higher with a blending brush (Morphe MB13). To help blending I use the shade ‘humble’ on my browbone.
STEP 3:
Then I draw an eyeliner and wing it out with the La Splash art-ki-tekt eyeliner. You can also skip this step but I think it helps to have it as a guideline for the glitter eyeliner in the next step.

STEP 4:
After that I draw an eyeliner and also wing it out above the black eyeliner with the OPV Beauty glitter liner.
STEP 5:
The brush tip of the glitter liner is not that percise so the black eyeliner got covered. To perfect that I go over the black eyeliner again with the La Splash liner.
STEP 6:
Then I clean up any fall out and excess eyeshadow on my lower lashline/ cheek. After that I do my base makeup. Then I use the shade ‘Russet’ on a dense blending brush (Zoeva 227) and apply it close to my lashline on the lower lashline.

STEP 7:
To blend out the previous shade I use the shade ‘Rogue’ on a blending brush (Morphe MB13).
STEP 8:
Then I highlight my inner corner and browbone with the shade ‘Charmer’ on a pencil brush (Makeup Geek small crease brush).
STEP 9:
Lastly I fill in my eyebrows, curl my lashes and apply mascara.
Finished Look:

I hope you enjoyed this step-by-step makeup pictorial on how to do this smokey eyelook with glitter which is perfect for valentines day!
