Do you already know what makeup you want to wear on new year’s eve? Maybe something dark and dramatic with glitter? Than you are perfect here: I show you how to do a black glitter eyemakeup look that‘s perfect for new year‘s eve or any other special ocasion!

Products I used for this cut crease:

  • Eyeshadow base (concealer)
  • Urban Decay Naked 2 eyeshadow palette (matte white/nude, medium brown and matte black eyeshadow)
  • NYX glitter primer with the NYX Face And Body Glitter in Gunmetal
  • NYX Mousse Eyeliner in Black
  • Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in Pyro
  • ESSENCE Longlasting Eye Pencil in Black Fever,
  • Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof
  • Brushes: Morphe e30, Bdellium Tools 776, Luxie Beauty 237, Bdellium Tools 936, Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush

Step By Step Makeup Pictorial:

STEP 1:

First I prime my eyelids (with concealer). Then with a blending brush (Morphe e30) I only set the browbone (with the shade ‘Foxy’) so I get the full pigmentation of the black eyeshadow on the sticky concealer on my lid but it’s still easy to blend towards the browbone.

STEP 2:

Then I apply the shade ‘Blackout’ all over the mobile eyelid with a dense blending brush (BdelliumTools 776).

STEP 3:

To blend out the previous shade I use the shade ‘Tease’ (and a little bit of ‘Blackout’) on a really small fluffy blending brush (LuxieBeauty 237) and blend it up in the crease and slightly towards the browbone. Be careful not to go too high with the dark eyeshadows. If you mess up a little you can try to soften it with the shade ‘Foxy’.

STEP 4:

Then I apply the NYX glitter primer all over my mobile eyelid with my finger. Directly after that I apply the NYX  Gunmetal glitter on top of the glitter primer with a flat concealer brush (BdelliumTools 936).

STEP 5:

Afterwards I remove any fall out on my lower lashline/cheek. An easy way to get the glitter off your face is by using some sellotape and lightly press the sticky side over your face to catch the glitter. After that I do my base makeup. Then I use the NYX Mousse Liner to create an eyeliner with an angled eyeliner brush (Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush).

STEP 6:

Then I wiped off any leftover product on the eyeliner brush (Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush) and use the same brush to apply the shade ‘Blackout’ on my lower lashline. On the inner corner I apply the eyeshadow a little bit lower to create a little gap towards my actual lower lashline.

STEP 7:

To blend out the previous eyeshadow I use the shade ‘Tease’ (with a little bit of ‘Blackout’) on a small fluffy blending brush (LuxieBeauty 237).

STEP 8:

Then I fill in my brows and apply a black liner on my upper and lower waterline (Essence longlasting eye pencil in black fever). After that I curl my lashes and apply mascara. Lastly I use the Urban Decay Pyro Heavy Metal Glitter Liner to fill in the little gap on the inner part of my lower lashline.

STEP 9:

That’s it! That is the finished look.
