OPV Beauty Pressed Glitter

Easy-to-use makeup glitter that is not messy? Is that possible? I rarely use glitter on my eyes because it always takes more effort. But I tried the OPV Beauty pressed glitter and now I’m excited to share my thoughts on them with you.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

  • Each pressed glitter retails for 7.99 £/ 9.06 € (opvbeauty.com) or 9.30€ (beautybay.com).
  • Weight: 4g / 0.14 oz. (pan size: 60mm)
  • Claims: “No glue or primer necessary, easy to remove, waterproof, just as super-sparkly as loose glitters and stays on for hours!”
  • So all in all you pay about 2.00 £/2.28 € per gram or 57.07 £/ 65.00 € per ounce

FORMULA:

These pressed glitters are really easy to use. In my opinion the best way to apply them is to tap the glitter on your lids with your finger. Applying them with a brush also works well but then you can get quite some fall out.

Other pressed glitters that I tried have a gel-like consistency but the OPV Beauty pressed glitters feel drier. I find that that makes them last longer on the eyelids. But because it the texture is pretty dry it can crumble down when touching your eyelids easier. I also tried these glitters with a glitter primer (even though you don’t need one) and with that they don’t crumble down anymore. But other than that it doesn’t make a difference if you use a glitter primer or not.

All in all these pressed glitters really look beautiful! They definitely look as good as loose glitters.

PROS:

  • Easy to use
  • Affordable
  • Longwearing

CONS:

  • Fallout when applied with brush
  • Can crumble down when touching your eyelids throughout the day

FINAL THOUGHTS:

I really like these pressed glitters. They are very easy to use and look as good as loose glitters. Compared to the Immensus Cosmetics and the Prima Makeup pressed glitters I think I prefer the OPV Beauty pressed glitters. That is because the staying power is a little bit better. If you are in the market for glitters I definitely recommend the OPV Beauty pressed glitters and I probably will get some more of them.
