Review and Swatches of Natasha Denona mono eyeshadows

Natasha Denona is famous for her amazing quality eyeshadows that are pretty pricey. But after I heard so many people talk about them I caved and bought some of her eyeshadows, too.

Product information:

  • The eyeshadows retail for 25.00 $- 29.00 $ (natashadenona.com) or 18.00 €- 28.00 € (beautybay.com)
  • 4 finishes available: metallic, duochrome, sparkling and matte
  • Regular eyeshadow pan weight: 2,5 g/ 0.08 oz. Blackes Black eyeshadow: 4gr/ 0,14 oz
  • So you pay about 10.00 $ per gram/312.00 $ per ounce (regular single eyeshadows). For the blackest black eyeshadow you pay about 7.25 $ per gram/ 207.14 $ per ounce

Swatches:

Swatches Natasha Denona eyeshadows in #215 cream, #52M golden beige, #31M cool bronze, #88V arizona, #45M industrial, #24V aubergine, blackest black matte

Formula:

These eyeshadows are really amazing! Definitely the best eyeshadow formula I have ever tried.
The eyeshadows are very creamy, super pigmented and very blendable. I love them! The only eyeshadow that is a little drier is the purple shade (‘#24V aubergine’) but it still performs amazingly!

The sparkly silver shade is SOOOO stunning! It has super tiny pieces of glitter in it. But I recommend using a glitter primer underneath otherwise throughout the day you will get the glitter all over your face.
These eyeshadows are not that travel-friendly. I traveled with them once and the pink/golden duochrome shade (‘#52M golden beige’) and the copper shade (‘31M cool bronze’) both did break. But because they are so creamy you can press them back again pretty easy.
The blackest black eyeshadow is definitely super black!! And the formula of it feels so velvet-like.

Pros:

  • Pigmentation
  • Blendability
  • Creaminess

Cons:

  • Price
  • Not travel-friendly (break easily)

Final thoughts:

I definitely get why so many people love these eyeshadows! The quality is amazing!

But I have to say that other brands that have a lower price point (e.g. Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadows, Coloured Raine eyeshadows) have a super similar formula. So I think you get a similar quality for a little lower price, too. I just think that the sparkling shade is super unique and definitely worth the money!

Love this post!
Do you think the natasha denona black eyeshadow is the best black eyeshadow you’ve tried?

Thank you!
I do think the Natasha Denona blackest black eyeshadow is the best black eyeshadow! It is so easy to use, has nearly no fall out, very smooth and easy to blend.
I also love the Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Noir’ eyeshadow and the Coloured Raine ‘Black Moon’ eyeshadow. But these two are more powdery and have a little more fall out. But still they are easy to use and they are a little less expensive.
