I have seen so many makeup looks with yellow eyeshadow recently that I really wanted to do one, too.
Also I LOVE doing half cut creases. They are pretty easy to do and look so nice and clean.
If you want to know how I created this yellow half cut crease I will show you now with a step by step makeup pictorial.
Products I used for this yellow half cut crease look:
- Concealer e.g. Tarte Shape Tape in fair neutral (as an eyeshadow base and also to create the half cut crease)
- Some powder to set the eyeshadow base e.g. Essence Brighten Up Banana Powder
- Sugarpill pressed eyeshadows inย Diamond Eyes, Buttercupcake, Castle On The Hill
- Essence I love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof
- Catrice Inside Eye Khol Kajal in 010 Black Is The New Black (to tightline)
- Brushes: Morphe E30, Zoeva 228, Sigma E25, Luxie 237, Dose Of Colors Pencil Brush, Sigma E56, Zoeva 317
Step By Step Makeup Pictorial:
First of all to prime my eyelids I apply some concealer and set it with some powder (with a Morphe E30). I also use the Morphe E30 whenever I need some blending in between within the next Steps.
With a big blending brush (Zoeva 228) I apply the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Buttercupcake’ in my crease and on the outer part of my eyelid.
On a smaller more precise blending brush (Sigma E25) I place the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Castle On The Hill’ on the outer corner and blend it onto my eyelid and in my crease. To really blend this shade with the yellow (Sugarpill ‘Buttercupcake’) I take my previous blending brush (Zoeva 228 that still has excess yellow eyeshadow on it) and softly blend the shades together.
Now I create the half cut crease by putting some concealer on a flat eyeshadow brush (Sigma E56) and draw my eyelid. I like to draw my eyelid a little bit higher than it actually is so you can still see it when I open my eyes (because I have slightly hooded eyes).
To set the concealer and also to intensify the haf cut crease I apply some of the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Diamond Eyes’ on top (with the same Sigma E56 brush after wiping the excess concealer off the brush).
Then I blend it out using again the blending brush (Zoeva 228) with some of the yellow eyeshadow (Sugarpill ‘Buttercupcake’) .
On an angled eyeliner brush (Zoeva 317) I use the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Castle On The Hill’ as an eyeshadow eyeliner. Then I use the precise blending brush again (Sigma E25) with some of the same brown eyeshadow (Sugarpill ‘Castle On The Hill’) to blend out the eyeliner.
Afterwards I brush away any fall out on my cheek and clean up the outer corner (with some makeup remover/ eye cream on a cotton swab). After that I do my face makeup. Then I apply the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Buttercupcake’ on a small blending brush (Luxie 237) on my lower lashline. After that I apply the Sugarpill eyeshadow in ‘Castel On The Hill’ closer to my lower lashline on a pencil brush (Dose Of Colors Pencil Brush).
After doing my eyebrows I apply the Sugarpill pressed eyeshadow in ‘Diamond Eyes’ on my browbone and my inner corner with a flat eyeshadow brush (Sigma E56).
Lastly I apply my favorite mascara (Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof) and also tightline my upper waterline (with the Catrice Inside Eye Khol Kajal in Black Is The New Black).
