Most people probably shy away from colorful eyeshadows. But I think they are so much fun!
Of course it may not be a look for every day. Even though I actually wear a lot of colorful eyeshadows on a daily basis. I feel like once you start playing with colors there is no going back ;-).
The collab palette from Morphe with Jaclyn Hill really inspired me to play with the blue, turquoise and green eyeshadows, combine them in one look and do a classic smokey eye.
Products I used for this blue/turquoise smokey eye:
- Concealer (as an eyeshadow primer)
- Face powder/ skin toned eyeshadow color (to set the eyelid)
- Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette (Enlight, Pool Party, Twerk, Jada, Enchanted, Abyss)
- Catrice Inside Eye Khol Kajal in 010 Black Is The New Black
- Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof
- Brushes: Morphe E30, Zoeva 228, Zoeva 227, Morphe E17, Luxie Beauty 237, Dose Of Colors Pencil Brush, Zoeva 237, Zoeva 317
Step By Step Makeup Pictorial:

Pictorial/Tutorial Step 1 – 3 of Blue Turquoise Smokey Eye using the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette
STEP 1:
After priming my eyelids with concealer I set them with some face powder (on a Morphe E30). Afterwards I apply the shade Jada (with a Zoeva 228) as my transition shade im my crease (and a little bit higher). To blend it out I use my previous brush (Morphe E30).
STEP 2:
To deepen up the crease I apply the shade Enchanted (with a Zoeva 227) on my outer corner and a little bit in the crease. To get a good blend I take my previous blending brush (Zoeva 228) and blend the colors together.
STEP 3:
After that I apply the shade Twerk with my finger on my eyelid. To get a more controlled application I also use the Zoeva 237 brush.

Step 4 – 6 of Pictorial/Tutorial of Blue Turquoise Smokey Eye using the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette
STEP 4:
Then I put the shade Pool Party in the inner part of my eyelid (with the Zoeva 237) and blend it with the previous shade.
STEP 5:
To get even more depth in the outer corner I apply the shade Abyss and blend it into my crease (with a Morphe E17). I also like to go over everything with my previous blending brushes to really blend everything together.
STEP 6:
To make my lashes look fuller I also apply Abyss along my upper lashline (with a Zoeva 317).

Step 7 – 9 of Pictorial/Tutorial of Blue Turquoise Smokey Eye using the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette
STEP 7:
Afterwards I brush away the fall out, clean up the under eye area and apply my base makeup. Then I apply the shadeTwerk along my lower lashline (with a Dose Of Colors Pencil brush). To blend it out I use the shade Jada (on a Luxie Beauty 237 brush). I apply these shades more from the center to the outer corner of the eye so the inner part stays bare for the next step.
STEP 8:
On the inner part of my lower lashline I apply Pool Party (Zoeva 237) and blend it into the previous shades.
STEP 9:
To highlight my inner corner and my browbone I apply the shade Enlight (also with the Zoeva 237 after wiping off the excess eyeshadow). After that I fill in my eyebrows. To finish the look I curl my lashes, apply mascara (Essence I Love Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof) and tightline my upper waterline (Catrice Inside Eye Khol Kajal in 010 Black Is The New Black).
