More and more people rave about Juvia’s Place eyeshadows. The brand itself doesn’t ship to Germany but Beautybay has their products on its online shop now. So I definitely needed to give these eyeshadows a shot!

Swatches:

Swatches Juvias Place Saharan Palette 1st row: Sokoto, Wodaabe, Bororo, Kia

Swatches Juvias Place Saharan Palette 2nd row: Zoya, Iman, Jamila, Senegal

Swatches Juvias Place Saharan Palette 3rd row: Chad, Katsina, Lulu, Fula
Formula:
The formula of these eyeshadows is amazing!! They are not as creamy as some other eyeshadow brands (Anastasia Beverly Hills single shadows, Coloured Raine single shadows, …) but they are definitely not dry either. The only shade that feels a little more dry is ‘Jamila’ but it performs just like all the other shades.
The pigmentation is perfect. The shimmer shades are intense even without using them wet (except for ‘Lulu’ – this shade is not that intense). I would compare the shimmery shades to the Makeup Geek foiled eyeshadows, which are my fav foiled eyeshadows ever.
These shadows are very blendable and easy to use!
To be honest I can’t think of anything that I don’t like about the formula.
Pros:
- Price
- Nice shade rage
- You can create a full look just with this palette
- Very pigmented
- Shimmery shades are intense
- Easy to blend
Cons:
- I personally wish the palette would contain a matte crease shade that is a little lighter than the black (‘Chad’), but darker than the other matte shades.
Final thoughts:
I LOVE this palette! The quality is definitely as amazing as so many people say.
The price of this palette is affordable. So comparing this palette to other affordable palettes (e.g. Morphe, BH Cosmetics, …) it is more expensive, but the quality is way more up there, too! I definitely think you can compare this palette to high-end palettes. In my opinion the quality is as good as e.g. ABH Modern Renaissance palette, Urban Decay Naked palettes, Tarte palettes and so on. But the price (per gram/ounce) is around half of the high-end palette prices! So you get an amazing bang for your buck!!
The only thing I’m missing in the palette as a whole is a matte crease shade. One that is lighter than the black (‘Chad’) but darker than the other matte shades. But the black is so easy to blend, that you can easily use it in the crease with a light hand.
So all in all I’m in love with these eyeshadows and I definitely recommend them!
