Not too long ago I purchased and reviewed the Aether Beauty Rose Quartz Crystal Gemstone palette (find my review here). I got it because I really want to look more into clean and sustainable beauty products.
Now Aether Beauty contacted me and asked if they can send me another of their palletes: The Crystal Grid Gemstone palette.
I’m so thankful that I got this opportunity and want to do a review on this palette as well. But of course I will still give you my honest opinion.

FORMULA:
Overall the formula is good.
The majority of the eyeshadows apply really nicely but some need a little more work.
For example: The shades “Moonlight” and “Manifest” are more dry and are less pigmented than the orther shades. But you can make them work by layering them and/or applying them wet.
The best shades are “Diamond”, “Amber”, “Energy”, “Amethyst”, “Intuition” and “Topaz” – nicely pigmented and creamy. The rest are more in between.
So the formula is not consistent. But most of them are good and the other ones you can make work. Other than that the eyeshadows are easy to work with and blend well.
Compared to other eyeshadow brands I have to say that the Aether Beauty eyeshadow palettes in general are a little less pigmented. Some people prefer that because that way they’re easier to use. I personally prefer more pigmented eyeshadows but I don’t mind eyeshadows that are less pigmented.
I think the best way to apply these eyeshadows is with your fingers. That way they apply more pigmented and also when you apply them with a brush quite some fall-out might occur (excess eyeshadow falls down on you cheek).
The color scheme is really nice in my opinion. The palette contains mostly neutral tones but also some more fun colors that aren’t too crazy. So I think it’s perfect for every day.
PROS:
- Clean, vegan, cruelty free
- Organic and fair trade ingredients
- Packaging is all recyclable
- Overall good color pay-off
- Overall easy to use
- Shade range is pretty
CONS:
- Price
- “Moonlight” and “Manifest” are quite dry and less pigmented
FINAL THOUGHTS:
I do really like this platte.
To be honest normally I’m not the biggest fan of palettes that only contain shimmery eyeshadows. I prefer to have matte eyeshadows in the crease because I think that looks more flattering. So I need other eyeshadows to complete a look. But you can also create stunning looks using only shimmer eyeshadows. And not all of the shades in the palette are metallic so they work in the crease, too.
The only thing for me is that you can get great eyeshadows for a lot less money, too. But like I said on my review of the Aether Rose Quartz Palette: The main plus on the palettes is that the palettes are clean, recyclable and they use organic and fair trade ingredients.
Also compared to Anastasia Beverly Hills or Urban Decay palletes Aether Beauty is actually less pricey if you compare the prices per the amount of product you get.
So if you are on a hunt for a nice shimmer eyeshadow palette I think you might really like this palette.
