I know cleaning your makeup brushes can be really annoying but it is so important! If you don’t clean your makeup tools regularly all the excess makeup, oil, dirt, bacteria will pile up. That can clogge your pores and also make you break out. As a guideline: Dermatologists recommend deep cleaning your brushes at least once a week.
Sometimes I need clean makeup brushes really quickly. But I don’t always have time to let my brushes airdry. That is why I love the Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner.
I use this brush cleaner whenever I need clean makeup brushes NOW.
So I always use this brush cleaner for a quick cleanse. But you can also use this brush cleaner for a deep cleanse if you like.
- The Cinema Secrets Professional Makeup Brush Cleaner Spray retails for 8.00$ (cinemasecrets.com/ sephora.com) or 7.80 ⬠(beautybay.com).
- You get 2oz/60ml. But they also have bigger bottles of this brush cleaner available.
HOW TO USE IT FOR A QUICK CLEANSE:
All you need for this method is a (paper) towel, the Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner and – of course – a dirty brush.
First I like to spray the brush with some of the brush cleaner. You can also spray your towel with the brush cleaner if you like.
Then I swirl the brush around on the towel. If I sprayed the towel with the cleaner I swirl the brush around in the spot I sprayed the cleanser.
If your brush is very dirty you can redo the whole step by spraying the brush again and swirling it around on a towel again. After some time all of the dirt will be on the towel and your makeup brush is clean.
See how easy that is? After that the brush is ready to use again. The brush is not wet or anything.
You can also use this cleaner on bigger brushes but you probably need to reapply the brush cleaner a few times to get the brush completly clean.
Like I metioned you can also use this brush cleaner for a deep cleanse.
But the brush cleansers I always use for a deep cleanse are these two:
1. Beauty Blender blendercleanser solid (click here to see my review).
2. Sigma Beauty SigMagic Brushampoo and Cleaning Mat (click here to see my review).
I hope you liked the step by step tutorial on how I clean my brushes with the Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner!
